LIMITED TIME AVAILABILITY (Round III)

22 years after its original release, Alex's debut album gets the long-awaited digital file release (for a very limited period only).

Remastered in 2019 from the original 1997 Digital Audio Tapes (DAT) mixes.

The original hisses from the old mixing desk and effects processors were kept. Cleaning those proved to take away some of the dynamics, so this remastering process was basically about EQ and volume, as no hard compression nor limiting was used - at all.

If you find this recording not as loud as some other releases you may have/own, it's not a bad sign and in fact your amplifier has the perfect solution to it: the volume knob - turn it clockwise:)

"Underdub" was originally released in 1997 on CD only by Warning Inc / Symbiose. Thanks to Luis Carlos for the support and belief.

The album was -and still is- dedicated to XFM, a radio station (gone by the year this album was released) that made a huge breakthrough on the musical culture from Portugal, breaking the barriers on the radio programs broadcast standards and moved by the motto "for an immense minority", which is just about how I feel my music was ever addressed. An enormous respect to the minds and voices of people like António Sérgio, Isilda Sanches, Silvia Alves, Sofia Morais, Lucinda Sebastião, Nuno Reis, Nuno Galopim, Anibal Cabrita, Ricardo Saló, Rui Portulez, Carlos Cardoso, Rui Neves and so many others that helped an entire country to quickly develop the interest to find and collect music by asking "XFM type music" on every record stores back then. That is the true sign of cultural groundbreaking.
